Homoerectus (AUS)
Homoerectus is currently Peter Hughes and Mike Dennis.
Mike plays drums, percussion, backing vocals.
Peter plays all guitars, lapsteel guitar, bass, keyboard, backing vocals and recording production.
We get singers, and other musos as required, from various places.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Both Mike and Peter have played in many rock, blues and jazz bands over many years before state lock down rules and Covid destroyed the live music scene in Australia

What equipment do you use?
Guitars - Gretsch Jet 6131, Gretsch G5422, Fender Strat, Fender Telecaster, SG, Asher Lap Steel & Godin Seagull Acoustic.
Guitar Amps - Mesa Boogie Mark V 25, Mesa Boogie TA-15, Fryette Power Station.
Keyboard - Yamaha EW400.
Bass - Fender Jazz
Our recordings maximise analog using real tube amps and real drums mic'ed to real cabs. A-D-A conversions avoided wherever possible :)
Keyboard is a Yamaha EW400.
Bass Rig - Fender Jazz Bass & MarkBass CMD102p amp.
